Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of JobJam and its services at jobjam.io. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

JobJam is an AI-powered job search intelligence platform that helps users evaluate their fit against job descriptions, tailor resumes and cover letters, and track job applications. The Service is available at jobjam.io.

JobJam is intended for personal, non-commercial use by individual job seekers.

2. Account Registration

  • You must provide a valid email address to create an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service
  • You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their explicit consent
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

3. Credits & Payments

3.1 Credit System

JobJam operates on a one-time credit purchase model. Credits are used to run evaluations, optimizations, and generate cover letters.

  • Starter: 50 evaluations, 20 optimizations, 15 cover letters - EUR 4.99 one-time (launch price)
  • Job Seeker: 150 evaluations, 75 optimizations, 50 cover letters - EUR 9.99 one-time (launch price)
  • Active Hunter: 500 evaluations, 200 optimizations, 150 cover letters for 90 days - EUR 24.99 (launch price)

3.2 Free Tier

New users receive 5 free evaluations without creating an account. No payment is required for the free tier.

3.3 Payments

  • All payments are processed by Stripe. By making a payment, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
  • Prices are displayed in Euros (EUR) inclusive of applicable taxes
  • One-time purchases are non-recurring. There is no automatic renewal unless explicitly stated.
  • Active Hunter is a 90-day access pass. After 90 days, access expires. Unused credits do not carry over.

3.4 Refund Policy

Due to the digital nature of the Service and the immediate consumption of AI credits:

  • Credits that have been used are non-refundable
  • If you experience a technical error that consumed credits without delivering a result, contact hello@jobjam.io within 14 days and we will review and restore credits at our discretion
  • Unused credits on Starter and Job Seeker plans do not expire and do not qualify for refunds after 14 days of purchase

EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services under EU Directive 2011/83/EU. By using the Service immediately after purchase, you acknowledge that the 14-day withdrawal right expires upon first use of credits.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use JobJam only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Use the Service to submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information to employers
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract data from the platform
  • Use the Service to generate content that violates any law or third-party rights
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Attempt to circumvent credit limits or access controls
  • Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the Service
  • Resell or sublicense access to the Service

5. Your Content

You retain full ownership of all content you upload to JobJam including your resume, job descriptions, and application data.

  • By uploading content, you grant JobJam a limited licence to process it solely to provide the Service
  • We do not claim ownership of your resume or career data
  • We do not share your content with employers or third parties
  • You are responsible for ensuring your content does not infringe third-party rights
  • We use anonymised, aggregated data to improve evaluation quality. No personally identifiable information is used for this purpose.

6. AI-Generated Content

JobJam uses AI models to generate evaluations, recommendations, optimized resumes, and cover letters. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only
  • JobJam does not guarantee that AI evaluations accurately predict hiring outcomes
  • You are responsible for reviewing and editing all AI-generated content before submitting it to employers
  • ATS scores and match percentages are estimates, not guarantees
  • JobJam is not liable for hiring decisions made by employers

7. Intellectual Property

  • JobJam, its logo, design, and software are owned by JobJam and protected by applicable intellectual property law
  • You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without written permission
  • AI-generated content produced using your inputs is yours to use. We make no intellectual property claims on outputs generated from your data.

8. Availability & Modifications

  • We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service
  • We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature with reasonable notice
  • We may update pricing for new purchases. Existing credits purchased at previous prices will be honoured.
  • Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • JobJam is provided as-is without warranties of any kind
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service
  • Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 3 months preceding the claim
  • We are not responsible for hiring outcomes, employer decisions, or career results

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable EU law.

10. Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time from account settings
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
  • Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy
  • Unused credits are non-refundable upon voluntary account deletion

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Berlin, Germany.

For EU consumers, mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence apply and are not affected by this clause.

We encourage you to contact us at hello@jobjam.io before initiating any formal dispute. We will make every effort to resolve issues informally.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on jobjam.io at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
